Technologies

Free Stroke Reach Adjust

The distance between the knob and the lever can be adjusted and adequate in hands of any size and the style and individual preferences of the cyclist.

I-Spec

Integrated assembly system of the gearbox and brake lever. It guarantees a clean aesthetic, more space in the handlebar area and weight reduction.

Servo wave action

When operating the Servowave brake lever, the initial call of the cable is faster, so a small lever excursion is enough to bring the pads in contact with the brake disc. So the power multiplication factor increases quickly to contact, so a greater lever excursion is used to apply greater force with higher braking control levels.

Ice Technologies

The incorrect configuration of the disk brake rotor and pads during braking on a long descent, for example, exerts a negative impact on the brake performance. Shimano has adopted the disk brake rotor and Ice Technologies pads to obtain a cooling technology capable of guaranteeing constant performance. The shovel of the coated disc brake rotor, equipped with a 3 -layer sandwich structure in stainless steel, aluminum and stainless steel, guarantees better heat dispersion (from 400˚C to 300˚C of temperature on the surface). The cooling flap for the tablet guarantees less wear, less noise, less loss of efficiency and greater lightness.

One Way Bleeding

The "One Way Bleeding" function was developed to ensure the easy and quick prevention of air infiltrations in Shimano hydraulic systems. They optimized the entire oil circuit in the system to prevent the presence of air bubbles inside. The unidirectional oil circuit, together with a funnel tool with mineral oil, guarantees an easy and clean bleeding system.
